We all do
it.
There are
those moments that we need a distraction, something to think about other than
our lives.
We look
up and see the shapes, the motion and somehow manage to lose ourselves in the
clouds. What would it be like to soar like a bird, unburdened by the restraints
of man?
"Above
the cloud with its shadow is the star with its light. Above all things reverence
thyself."
~
Pythagoras
"I
know that I shall meet my fate somewhere among the clouds above; those that I
fight I do not hate, those that I guard I do not love." ~ W.B.
Yeats
“Aren't the clouds beautiful? They look like
big balls of cotton... I could just lie here all day, and watch them
drift by... If you use your imagination, you can see lots of things in the
cloud formations... What do you think you see, Linus?"
"Well, those clouds up there look like the map of the British Honduras on the Caribbean... That cloud up there looks a little like the profile of Thomas Eakins, the famous painter and sculptor... And that group of clouds over there gives me the impression of the stoning of Stephen... I can see the apostle Paul standing there to one side..."
"Uh huh... That's very good... What do you see in the clouds, Charlie Brown?"
"Well, I was going to say I saw a ducky and a horsie, but I changed my mind!”

“I find it incredibly amazing how at every sunset, the sky is a
different shade. No cloud is ever in the same place. Each day is a new
masterpiece. A new wonder. A new memory.”

This is a little tribute to my enjoyment of the clouds. I see
their beauty and I manage to forget my insignificant problems as I look up and
dream. I hope you like the pictures as well.
